chose this photo today because this vine, so delicate and vibrant last year, appears to be dead now ... if I didn't know I would think it totally wasted ... hopeless ... as it looks today, just brown tendrils, no green, certainly no sign of flowers ... and my faith that it will re-emerge has no bearing on anything ... in fact, though invisible to me, the vine is already pulsing with life force ... the gardener might pull it up and toss it on the trash pile, but even at the dump it would bloom ... it's just a matter of time
